A lot of gents are on here asking how to disarm/befriend the guy who's with the girl so they can eventually get with her. I realized that I'm usually that guy they're trying to get rid of.

Typically I meet a girl, get her #, ask her to go to the bar/club with me later that week and work my magic. At the bar, guys would hover by us and try to open on both of us, and overall I'm cool with it. I really don't care, I just want to have a good time and having friendly people around me only helps my social proof. But at the end of the night, when I'm trying to close this girl (and so are you), ultimately it's her decision who she's going home with.

tldr, your "enemies" out there are just average joes trying to get laid. I welcome the competition though, let the best man win.
