I think a big key to why Owen from RSD is good with girls and likeable, is because he has a natural balance of putting forth actual effort, but also he doesn't take things too seriously at all. He (and anyone else on earth who's funny, he's just an example most of you would know), have that ability to laugh at situations. You need it in game so much. It makes you seem more fun, and more genuine.

This is so true. For example, last night I failed miserably approaching a smoking hot girl at a bar. It was pretty late and I had a little too much to drink (I'm aware that sets me up for failure). She wanted nothing to do with me, so I just told her that I had to try because she was simply too attractive not to approach, which got a smile out of her. At that point I said it was nice meeting you, smiled, and walked back over to my friends, laughing to myself. A cute girl that was talking to my friends saw what happened and was suddenly very interested in me. She told me how it was so refreshing to see someone that isn't afraid to approach a girl and be able to laugh at being rejected. The best part is after that she asked for my number :)

Great advice that people often overlook. Don't laugh at yourself to the point where people trample all over you, but definitely make light of situations that don't have to be serious.

I feel like the key to life in general is learning to laugh at yourself. All too often, it's easy to critique every single thing (am I looking at this person funny, is my voice girly, is my walking posture good?, etc) you're doing, but hard to just laugh and not take every little thing so seriously. Good stuff. I'm working to implement this into my everyday life.
