I like the other sex but I’m not searching for a relationship - that’s my mindset.

Sure I’ll go on a date, but I’m not too invested because of this mindset. This means there’s no nerves, which tends for dates to go ridiculously well. I’m interested in these people but not craving for the attention.

Let’s meet up, but I also want space. This makes things casual but also sets boundaries whilst leaving room for more.

This mindset is not negging, but it’s not craving for attention or caving into our desires to make that person ours and become needy. It’s a sort of calm with oneself, where you’re first, you give a little but you keep your priorities and you desires in check.

It’s been giving me more success than I’ve ever had. Saying no, recognising what’s important to you and not trying to impress or say the right thing are really crucial to a peaceful head state.

This may sound a bit strange, in all honestly it’s the happiest I’ve been in years. I care about these people still but I’m not going to break my pattern to impress them, until, perhaps, I want to.
