He is obviously a grown man (owning his own business and all). You said that you and he have these little convos for like a month, right? Has he ever asked for your phone number? Your social? Snap? Has he ever asked you OUT on a legit date? I get the sense that he may be chatting with you as a "regular customer" because you admit to going in their consistently - so he is being nice, but if he hasnt (a s a grown man) done the rest of those things I mentioned, it typically means he isnt interested...
Never hurts to ask though.

Like I said..if you have to stoop to the level of literally trying to play "I'm better then you" games like a child - that says more about YOU then me.
