Well, an interesting day it was for me. I posted several days ago, which was roughly titled “Bout to f around and ask out some girls nearby”. This was in regard to a few girls that work close to me. I said I would follow up, and here it is.

One of those girls works next door. Tall, pretty, and basically seemed like she’s a vibe. She comes in every now and then to get silverware from us. I never got her name despite a few albeit minimal interactions, but I did learn a couple things that I knew I could run with. And I was determined to get her name today.

I grabbed a small handful of plastic silverware sets, and headed over there. I made my way in, and she’s the first person you see. A receptionist. “Hey what’s up, figured I would bring you a little supply for yourself” (presents silverware). She picked up conversation from there, saying her co-workers had gotten some for her from x/y/z place, her words were “stole” but she was being silly, they were out for people to grab. I brought up something from our previous interactions (which was personal to her), and she opened up more about it.

I asked her what her name was, saying “I realized I didn’t get it”. She told me. She then told me she already knew my name. And said it. I was definitely surprised, but she found out because it’s put up as a certificate on the wall (an observant one aye?).

Talked a bit more, I then say I’m heading out and to stop in whenever and I’ll take care of her.

And that was that. I kept it fairly minimal, she actually did most of the talking. My goal ultimately was to keep things light, figure out her name, and kinda plant the seed so to speak. Since she works directly next door, it’s best to keep it light since it’s the highest risk of consequence for a failed approach.

I’d say things are pointing positively overall, however she also was at work, so it’s possible she could’ve just been friendly as part of her role there. Either way, glad I did it. Time will tell how or if things progress, but nonetheless I have more approaching to do. Stay tuned!
