Something I see come up a lot, and what I have had trouble with in the past is making the conversation sexual. I had an exchange with a lady recently on OKC, which went from general conversation to sexting over the course of several hours. I didn't see this coming let alone plan it, I just rolled with everything.

I figured I would post an example here to show how simple it really is, it's just rolling with what's in your head, because you know attraction is built. When I read this exchange over again, it feels awkward, or maybe it's just the intimacy of it. In the moment it wasn't the case, and that's what's important, being in the moment.

As you can see, food is pretty easy to form innuendos with.

The first thing I learned is to roll with what she says, never acknowledge the awkwardness. Hers or yours, you never need to acknowledge the awkward even if you're both laughing about it. Sometimes it happens, we're human so it's fine, it builds bonding, but try to minimize it.

Another thing is timing, this pertains a little more to messaging. When she says something that puts herself out there, something that's potentially awkward, timing can be your friend. Take a little longer to respond, she'll be over-analyzing what she said, then you swoop back in and make it all better. I don't like this one that much, because it seems a little manipulative and mind gamey, in my example above it was natural as I had to finish out my shift. It works though.

Another thing I learned that wasn't in the above exchange is dealing with bad jokes. I made a joke that she didn't get, and wasn't particularly hilarious anyway, so i just changed the subject. Didn't explain it, or acknowledge it, just moved on.

I'm still seeing her and things are going quite well thanks to this community, as well as the rest of reddit. I put myself out there by showing these intimate exchange, but I have a good feeling it will help those fellas out who are over-analyzing how an exchange might go, it really doesn't have to be a romance novel, it's just rolling with it.
