Pay attention to what stores they are shopping at and use that for openers. Women love shopping, at least the majority of those you find in a mall setting do. Don't sit in one area for long as it makes you seem desperate. Go about shopping like normal and when you see a girl you like shoot a smile and don't look away until she does. If she sticks around long enough you should be able to approach her, if not move on and find another candidate.

go in store after them. Pretend to be looking at shit near them. Ask them for help picking out something for your sister for Christmas. If it's a clothing store and you have really big cojones, tell her that her build is about the same as your sister's and ask her to model some shit to see how it would look on sis.

I think situational openers work best in malls. For example, I was at the mall Wednesday night and decided to open a few sets by asking for gift ideas for my 12 year old niece. Make sure not to DLV yourself when doing this, however.
