Always better to get the phone number. Not only is it more personal but Snapchat is tied to your contacts so a number is essentially both. The least creepiest way would be to ask.

The more you talk to eachother and become comfortable, the less awkward it will be for you to get the number. Think about how uncomfortable a girl feels giving you her number if youre not even comfortable asking for it.
