Rundown of the interaction

The weather is fantastic today. Warm and sunny. As I'm walking home from the gym I feel good and would like to start a random convo with someone, preferably a female.

Behind me walks a HB6, probably coming from the gym. I slow down a little bit and as she passes me, I just casually tell her "Jævlig fint vær i dag!". She is a polish graduate, and obviously doesn't speak norwegian. I then tell her that I think the weather is great today. We proceed to have a pleasant conversation. I was really in state and my words flowed smoothly from my mouth. As we approached my building I ask for her number, ask her name. In hindsight it's much better to ask a girl's name after some initial conversation and comfort-building. This way it's more likely that you will remember her name, and that she will remember yours too. But as I went to the door of the building and was about to save the number, the damn phone had to give me some error and the number was lost. Instead of just quickly going to HB6 and take her number again, the stupid me started suddenly over thinking and I just went to my dorm room. After 2 minutes or so it hit me what a silly mistake I did. I mean how hard is it to just say "Hey sorry, I didn't manage to save your number. My phone is fucked up.". Damn it.

Mindset

I already felt good from yesterday and the additional boost from the workout placed me in a calm and present state.

The only place I "fucked up" was in the fact that I (for some weird reason) didn't take her number again. Whatever. I'll probably see her again.

Takeaways

1) Ask for the damn number. Again, if you have to.

2) Work out.
