Gents--
As some of you are well-aware, 2013's addition of No Shave November (read: Movember) is well underway. Now, sporting a beard can be seen as attractive by the ladies, (some love it!) others are turned off by it. I've formulated some tips to minimize the negative effects of a healthy beard!
1. It's okay to trim A lot of die-harders will tell you,'if you trim, you cheat!' Screw off! I ain't trying to look like a slob. It's not cheating if you use a beard trimmer. Go to your local walgreens and pick up a Braun or Wahl or Conair or Phillips with adjustable trimming options. If you've never done it, it's easy as hell to do.
2. Consider getting a shape-up Some people call it 'manscaping'. Screw off! Women love well-groomed men. Head to a barber and get a straight-edged job to trim down that neck and high cheekbone hair. You don't have to do anything crazy like Big Papi's facial hair, but clean it up a bit!
3. Consider beard dyeing
Okay, so I took the plunge and dyed my beard jet black last night. Despite getting some on my skin, it looks awesome! the instructions are easy to understand (and I'm terrible at following directions) and application is not difficult. I've gotten nothing but compliments so far, and am testing it out in the the field tonight!
If anyone has any other suggestions/tips, please contribute in the comments!
