If you can find a way to get it out there at the beginning it will scare away most girls that aren't cool with it before you waste any time on them. Most hot girls actually have a pretty damn hard time finding somebody who they can have sex with who isn't going to get jealous, be needy, etc... and fuck things up.

There is no way to "answer" the question per se. There is no magic thing besides "of course you're my girlfriend" that is going to get you out of that situation. It is more about what you have been conveying implicitly through your actions.

Most dudes put off a bf/gf vibe because they don't know how to do anything else, and then don't get it when she doesn't want to be just fuck buddies. You have to be consistent, and implicit with what you want in a relationship. Consistent because people don't want surprises, and implicit, because saying "hey I banged four other girls this week, and only showered once, hope my dick doesn't smell weird." is rude.

Tell them you're not ready for a committed relationship. It's just not in your life plan right now. If you string them along pretending you do want a relationship then you are lying to them and it's unfair to them if they think they are going to have one with you.

You really just need to explain that you don't want to be tied down due to previous LTR and then you can polish it off by saying that you might consider entering a relationship if a girl manages to interest you enough.

This creates a situation where she will either decide that it's not worth the effort and drop the idea or she will start trying harder to impress you if she's decided to try drawing your focus.

This conveniently screens out the ones not worth your time since they aren't willing to put in effort as well as the ones that can't take it to a higher level.

Even though you aren't looking for a relationship, this still gives you the means to find those rare girls that are awesome enough to make you suddenly want to be in a relationship with them.

Thanks for all your comments, it confirmed my actual inklings, but I thought perhaps I should run it up the flagpole.

I hope my original post indicates that I do infact want to be fair to these women, but also remain firm in my convictions (just exited a 2.5 year LTR).
