Sorry for a long post but it was my first time and I'm proud of myself. Fuck you.

It went decently I think. I was sitting in the library at the college I go to, and there was this really cute 10/10 girl that walked by me and we made eye contact for like a second and it wasn't anything crazy, but she looked at me for as long as I looked at her, if that makes sense? She clearly wants to marry me. Anyways, she later sat down a few tables away by herself.

I was sitting with a female friend of mine just doing work, and I told her that I really wanted to go talk to that girl, but that I was scared af, but my friend was like "GO DO IT RIGHT NOW. PLEASE GO DO IT." and I kept prolonging it, but then I saw that the girl was putting her stuff in her bag, clearly about to leave, so I was like fuck it it's now or never.

So I went up to her, and asked if I could talk to her for a sec, and she was super polite and open to it, she was like "Yeah sure! What's up?" so i sat down at the table and told her I thought she was "cute as a cupcake" which is cheesy as hell, but it made her laugh and blush a bit, and she said "thank you so much!". I said something along the lines of "I would regret not saying anything" and that "I never do this" blah blah. We exchanged names and what our majors are, what year of school we're in (both juniors) and then I was like "I'd love to do something some time" to which she agreed. I said we can get boba and she got a bit more excited about that. Girls love boba for some reason I don't get it.

Anyways, I actually forgot my phone at the table I was initially sitting at, so I offered to give her MY NUMBER. She said of course, and I put my number and name in her phone notes. As I was typing, it was kind of messing up because she had an iPhone and i have an android, so the keyboard was a bit different, so I mentioned that I had an Android and she started kinda flirtatiously teasing me about it. I forgot what it was word for word but she was essentially like "you have an android, that sucks, you know that sucks right" and I said "oh is that a deal breaker?"

Overall, I feel like the fact that she was teasing me for having an android, that's a sign that she was some what into me because it came off pretty flirty. Like she was smiling while saying it. She could've just said nothing. She was smiling throughout the whole interaction too.

I do wanna get your opinion on giving a girl your number though. Some people say its the SMOOTHEST thing you can do and it makes you come off as super confident, and that girls prefer it. Other people say it makes you seem weak and it gives too much control to the girl, and that girls want you to be all assertive and what not. I had no choice really because I forgot my phone and I didn't want to walk all the way back to my table to get it haha.

But yep that was my first time approaching a random girl I thought was cute! How'd I do.

EDIT: I forgot to add. This was at like 1pm. Around 8pm, I was walking to the subway stop to get home. I was talking to my mom on the phone, and I actually saw the girl again. We walked right past each other and she gave me a pretty genuine seeming smile and a little wave. I kinda laughed and said "hey what's up," but kept walking.
