Hey Seddit, A little background on me...I am a guy who's currently 19 years old and never kissed a girl or had a gf before, only 11 years before I can become a wizard! Just kidding, ever since graduating high school and getting rejected by numerous girls whenever I asked them out, I felt like a pessimistic, lowly and miserable individual entering college.

I knew I had to change. Ever since I found reddit.com and started browsing around, I found seddit. I'd say I was a keyboard jockey before actually going out to test this stuff. So go easy on me! I am just a beginner. During this Spring break (4/6/2012), I went out with two IRL buds of mine and a dude I met from simplepickup.com. A little background on the guys I went out with, one has a girl friend and was there for purely moral support, one guy had severe oneitis and we made him go out just to stop thinking about that one girl, and finally, the guy from SP.com was a more experienced guy who was there to motivate me to do approaches. Onto the actual report.

Union Square, 1:00PM on a Saturday, it is beautiful weather with the sun way up high with a ton of people walking around. I meet up with them and we start with baby steps. What we did was start out by holding strong eye contact with everybody as we walk past them. Afterwards, I was told to go up to any girl they choose and say 'Hi!' with a genuine smile. Also, what also helped was that I gave my friend $100 and he gave back 10 for each one I did. After the "Hi's", I decided to open with something like this, 'Excuse me, what is the time? ... Actually I was just kidding, I thought you were adorable and I had to talk to you'.

This is where the shock came in. I was surprised that something like this could work, even in a big city as Manhattan. I was brought up to be believe to not talk to strangers like this and that people would be creeped out if I approached them like this. Boy was I wrong. Girls were surprisingly receptive and looked interested in staying to talk to me. I was shocked as fuck so I ejected, but don't worry I plan on doing this more often. Then I took a little step forward and opened with 'I know this is random but I thought you were cute and I had to come and talk to you' and I had self-realization this point. As long as you delivered with confidence, talking at the right pace and standing firm and tall, good things will happen.

Finally, I want to say, I only approached 14 girls on that day but I have gained a lot of insight on this direct day game/cold approach. Just fucking do it, and if it fails who gives a fuck, as long as you tried. I had 6 girls that just walked away after delivering the 'I think you're cute' line and I just walked on. Treat rejection as nothing as there are plenty of girls in the world for you to approach. I hope this post comes out as motivation for people to do this. I owe it all to you seddit, I will improve my life!
