Every now and then when i'm picking up girls at a bar, the girl starts to act in a way that means she wants me to leave.
I get the hint in several ways:
- She smiles at me while glancing to her friends (with slight desperation, sometimes even slightly rolling her eyes)
- She's resistant when I hold her hands
- She laughs nervously/forcibly just to get it over with
All this tells me that she's putting up with me to avoid hurting my feelings whereas, ironically so, this absolutely crushes me and ruins my night.
It tells me that she sees right through me, but worse than that, it tells me that she's prejudiced and judges me for what i'm doing, without getting to know me first.
Now of course I eject the set soon after, but that's no real solution. It leaves me feeling like shit. So what improvements can I make, and what mindsets have you adapted for dealing with this?
A friend's suggestion was that it's better to excuse myself sooner than later. That way I can run into them again and pick up where I left off with her having a fresh mind. It also allows her to see me talking to other girls, which could make her form more positive perceptions of me.
