Helps with approach. I started reading seddit at the end of June and it's tremendously helped a lot of my social anxiety issues. I actually make eye contact with everyone, actually practice approaching 8-10 women a day on campus and have had some actual conversations and friendships beyond the said night of partying/socializing. I routinely #close a good majority of my approaches and a couple of K#closes. Rejection is difficult, it can be disheartening and troublesome when you try to emotionally connect with someone but the best advice I've seen from here is remember "There is always another bus". Makes it much easier. Who gives a shit if she refuses, the worst she can say is no. Move on.

While moving on seems like an easy task I've come to realize its a much harder task when our dumb brains feed us with stupid thoughts of bravado and charisma. Knowing when to cut your losses and move to another location is difficult and only you can make that decision.

I'll explain, last night, was planning on leaving for the local watering hole for karaoke night (social situations are actually fun when I'm having fun and not focusing on trying solely to get laid). When my neighbors call and are drinking next door. I casually cruise over to chat and practice my game for remembering women and male names. I ask for their first name. I repeat it to them. Then I ask their last name (no one asks for someones last name), I then repeat their last name then their full name. Next I ask three completely different questions IE Whats your favorite dinosaur, favorite color, ice cream, food, whatever. Keep them fairly independent of each other. I then tie these three items IE velocraptor, vanilla and ribs by saying "Full Name" riding a velocoraptor eating some vanilla ice cream while pulling a smoker behind cooking some ribs for later on the moon. Literally whatever comes to mind. I'll do this for the whole group I've approached with three different questions for each girl. Mind you, this gives me the opportunity right there for nick names. So and so loves purp t rexs or so and so like her lab. It makes it easier for me to remember their names so I don't have to keep self internalizing "whats her name again?:

Once I established names I practiced dominating the conversation by having them talk about their latest crush and have them debate who was the best while I would occasionally make comments on so and so and why is he so charming. They continued to make the conversation dirtier as we drank more and more. I decided to stay instead of originally following my plan and escalated the conversation into their sexual desires for other women (thank you anthropology). After having two make out with each other I made fun of their ability to make out because I know they've done much heavier things with each other. They went at it again but much heavier. I started to literally direct where each one should do what. They followed well while everyone else was wide mouthed in surprise. Whatever, I was entertaining myself. Honestly, I missed my chance because I should have stepped in saying no this is how you do it and then make out with them both. Instead, I hesitated and the opportunity was lost forever. The night ended with some meaningless drama and I sulked back to mine in self loathing over another missed chance.

I've slowly been breaking down my Berlin wall. Trust me, its heavily fortified. Connecting emotionally with anyone has been such a hard issue for me. I've never had sex with a women and it's frustrating. I was obese but now that I am approaching a more manageable weight its a little bit easier. I still have issues with confidence and motivation but I'm hoping that will come with time. Social anxiety is always an issue but I always remember Mark Twain,

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." Helps me focus on not being selfish and talk to those women.

Trust is such a key component and I always try to identify when I'm trying to seek attention rather than giving value to the person im talking too. I also have issues of escalation. It's anxiety and fear at its basic level but one day. . .
