Few months ago I started a job, to my surprise I was able to confidently talk to people, including girls, and usually have a pretty decent conversation as long as the other person responded well/could speak the same languages as me.
Now I joke about with the people who I’ve spoken to before and we’re on a decent level, still not some form of best friends as they’re older, etc, but we’re decent ‘work friends’, I guess. I do however sometimes don’t know what to talk about with some people, and I don’t feel like starting a conversation with someone who I didn’t speak to before anymore.
When it comes to girls on it’s own, I haven’t really approached many for obvious reasons as well as not knowing where to go/how to approach without being weird, as in the U.K. it differs a lot to approaching abroad.
I noticed that my conversations can be quite platonic, at least in the beginning, and certainly when texting (I have no clue what to do when texting), and it takes a little while for me to ‘build rapport’ of a certain person and when to start having banter/teasing them a little.
Also, what should I do at the start of an ‘interaction’ to ‘show off’ yourself in the best light possible?
By that I mean what are the things that make girls think of you as someone they would want to be with or just hang out in general?
Also, ways to ‘enhance’ my humour/wittiness? I want to become better at this to make ice breakers easier for me
