So I saw this really cute Dutch girl on a Netherlands train, sitting near me. I Smiled, she smiled back. Made up an excuse that my seat smells and I sat opposite to her.

2 hours, we chatted. I was flirting, making her talk, teasing. She was laughing, asking questions back, flirting back and it seemed to be ON.

BUT

at the end, she indirectly tells me about her baby. I smile and show no reaction. She then says “ you didn’t expect me to have a baby, did you” ( for context she was 25, she said that before). Then she shows me a photo of her baby and presumably her partner. thanks me and then gets off at her station.

While it’s completely okay,

  1. Why did she mention about the baby AT THE END?
  2. Just mentioning the baby is okay, WHY DID she show the picture too? She didn’t need to show that.

For context, I live in the US and am traveling around Europe. Just out of a loooong term Relationship , so some help would be great :)
