So I'm taking people's advice and keep facebook messages to a minimum, but I want to reply to her last one and casually ask her to get some coffee with me on campus. Problem is she is pretty anti-facebook and doesn't seem to go on it much so our correspondence is kind of delayed.

For that reason I want to leave her a message like 'we should go for coffee bla bla bla, if I haven't scared you away just throw me a text at (cell number) and I'll set it up. and if not I'll survive :)'. That's the basic gist of it but I wanted to check with some veterans before sending it. Am I making it too clear that it's a "date-y meeting"? Or is that exactly what I should be doing? I don't want her to feel cornered so I gave her an out if she wants it. I know I should probably do the meetup ask over the phone or something but it seems so clunky to be like 'we should meet up, what's your number?'.

Is it a bad idea to give her MY number and make her contact me first? Could use some help here, asap :)
