I have been an awkward and quiet guy around girls for a vast majority of my life. I have always found it unusually difficult to carry a conversation with a girl because I honestly have nothing interesting to talk about cause well my life is just boring like that. However in my senior year in high school this changed, I finally met this girl that I could actually engage in deep conversations with, we used to text until the wee hours of the morning. After a few months of getting to know her and conversing with her, I finally began to have the confidence to strike conversations with other girls as well. Slowly but surely with my new found confidence I built up the courage to ask her to be my date for prom which she unfortunately turned down. After she turned me down for prom, I immediately lost all confidence in myself. I thought that this downfall in self confidence would be only temporary, however to this day 2 years later I have yet to meet a girl that I could engage in conversations with in the same way that I did with this girl from high school. What do you guys think is the problem with me?
