Negging vs. supplication in normal everyday interactions?

Supplication isn't doing something nice for someone (such as giving them a compliment).

Supplication is doing something nice for someone in order to get that person to like you.

It's not about what you do so much as why you're doing it. With that logic, negging is not the opposite of supplication. The opposite of supplication is doing what you want, to please you, not her.

As for negging, there's a time and a place for that. If you do it right, it'll work wonders. If you do it wrong, she'll see right through you. Girls aren't stupid and they're generally much better than we are at seeing through to somebody's true intentions.

Of course the answer is no, you can compliment someone and not be a goob. But she's heard it before, it's going to bore her.

Saying her dress, or anything about her is pretty doesn't increase your value one bit. And if it's the first thing you say to her, it makes you sound like a chump who's never seen a dress before and is easily amazed.
