My first ever girlfriend of nine months broke up with me about two and a half months ago.

I went to Community college for my first two years of college and then transferded to a University. During my first few weeks (maybe even days) I met the girl who just broke up with me. We were in the same class and we both go to class too early during the first few weeks so I asked if I could sit sext to her and wait with her for our class to start. (we were just sitting on a bench outside of the classroom waiting for more people in our class to go in)

It took me a little while but I asked for her number. (I figured I should since we were talking every morning) Then, we became pretty good friends, and then we started dating

Looking back I think the only reason that I actually asked for her number and ended up asking her put was because we were good friends. And, thinking lately I really don't understand how I ever got a girlfriend.

Ive been trying to get with other girls since she broke up with me but Im not making any real connections/friendships with any of these girls like i did with her. Plus i'm a pretty shy dude, so Im not really a fan of just walking up to random girls that are walking around in the quad.

How should I approach finding a new girl? Maybe go to the library and try to sit with girls studying there? IDK?? I want to make a connection with whoever I meet and I feel like cold approaching like that is rough.
