Hey everyone, had an interesting encounter last night and I was hoping to get some insights on what happened.

I was at a bar meeting up with a buddy that’s from out of town. I go to the outside patio bar since it’s usually shorter but still a line. I’m fixing the cuff on my jacket when the girl behind me compliments me on said jacket. I tell her thanks and what’s her occasion for being out. She tells me she’s with two friends that are on a date, essentially being the third wheel. I see she’s holding a Polaroid of her dog and ask what’s his or her name, she tells me and asks if I have any pets of my own. I show her a picture of my cat and give her some details. She laughs at the picture because he’s doing something goofy and tells me about how when she had a cat he would do the same thing. It’s finally my turn to order a drink and I ask her if she’d like to do a shot with me, she says yes. After i get a text from my buddy saying he’s going to move it to another bar so I ask the girl if I can get her phone number or instagram.

Here’s the weird part, she says yes but she won’t message me or follow me back. And that if she sees me again in person that I’m allowed to say hi. I tell her actually no thanks, it was nice speaking to her (it was until that point) but I’ve got to run.

I have no idea why she would propose that and was hoping someone could give some insight.
