I get consistent numbers with that line because I often set the date up face to face and only exchange numbers when everything is set, including the location and the specific time and date. That makes it so the number is not something special, its just a matter of necessity. She already agreed to the whole thing, of course she will need a way to stay in touch.

There are a few good techniques to make a number more solid though.

You can leave or pretend to not have your phone with you and just have her text you with her name. Psychologically she'll see in your thread that she sent the first message and you're simply replying making her think she's agreed to messaging with you already.

If you're on an instant date or meet a girl in the club, get her number in the middle of the interaction and text her right then and there. What I like to do on instant dates is text her with things that I'd normally need to whisper to her like maybe making fun of the person right next to us. This also works in clubs but another thing you can do in a club is if you get her number and walk away to talk to other people, you can text her while she's still in the club. You can say something like "Did you see that chick that slipped on the dancefloor?" or "I didn't know they served flaming shots here" and either continue texting each other from different parts of the club or text her to come over to where you are so you guys can talk again. These things have the same effect as acting like you don't have your phone on you except its more powerful because she'll already have memories of messaging you back & forth and when she sees your thread there will already be a lot of messages in there so when you get home and text her or text her the next day it'll just feel like you're carrying on from where you left off.

Oh and the most awesome thing about these two techniques? You won't need to stress over crafting the perfect first message.

One of two ways and has worked every time since I've been single. I didnt says they always text back but I've at least gotten every number and I'm NOT good at this whole pickup game. lol.

"Hey I've gotta step outside for a call, give me your number real quick and I'll text you to find you."
"Hey come here real quick, and I literally just hand her my phone with the 'New Contact' screen already up. "

I've only used the first one once, but the second one every other time. Just did it last night actually lol.

I thought it was going to be hard to get numbers when I finally got off my ass and decided to start trying, and without any redditting or anything, I just tried it one night and got like 3 and couldn't believe it lol.

That might sound a bit cheesy but it could work lol , it worked for me couple of times , go to a girl and pretend like your phone died and you need to make an urgent call ( ask her in a confident way not in a creepy way) 90% of the time she will say okay, then use her phone to call your number and then when your phone rings , have a laugh aboit it and say : " see? told ya that was an urgent call" and switch conversation to somewhere funny, and before you leave tell her that you wanna see her again, good luck!
