I absolutely love getting others to play along with a situation that I've engineered out of thin air. For that reason, I love hidden camera shows (.e.g. Impractical Jokers) where people's beliefs about social norms and reality are shaken!

One funny way I "trolled" (for the lack of a better word) someone IRL, was at a career fair in college a short while ago. I saw a stand for a certain company, and there were 2 company representatives answering all questions about the firm and career opportunities etc. So, I decided to create a third line - I stood in front of the company poster, and within a minute, I had a line of stressed out and eager to please (fellow) students waiting to get their turn to speak to the recruiter (i.e. yours truly). I actually talked to three different students, asked them questions about why they think they are a good fit for the company, and why they thought their experiences were relevant to their role of interest. And boy did they get into it! I eventually told them I was joking, and that they should speak to one of the two actual recruiters...my "colleagues". Another one was at night...I was partying in Chicago, and I noticed the bouncer of our bar was temporarily away. So I stood in front of the bar to see what would happen when people arrived. (Mind you, I don't have the physique of your average bouncer at all). A group of girls arrive, and I look at them in the eyes, and say "Hey, how many?", to which they replied "3" (It was obvious there were 3, but asking that seems like a typical question at the door), so I said "Let me see some ID", and they gave me their ID, so told them " You two can get in, but I don't know about you Brittany (or whatever her name was) this ID doesn't look legit.", and boy did she get pissed off! Started saying "But please...I swear this is a real ID etc." Haha, eventually told them I was just playing around.

It's just so interesting to see that by "acting the part", you can engineer virtually any social situation, and have others play along with you. I suppose that's what you call "frame" around here?
