What I did today..

I was at lunch in an canteen, I looked around and found all the table occupied, and on one table a girl is sitting and having lunch, there are also a couple of table which are occupied by single person.

But I decided to go and sit on the same table on which the girl is sitting but at same time I thought if i buy my stuff and meanwhile someone else can go and sit on opposite side of the girl then i will loss the opportunity.

I decide to make a move and before getting into the queue for buying the stuff for myself , I went to her and asked , that is she okay if I join her on the table for lunch ? she replied it's okay.

I made a first move (thanks the book I am reading - The 5 second rule).

Objective 1 accomplished- I didn't overthinking and didn't left an open opportunity for others.

After that I got into the queue and bought some stuff to eat, while I was walking towards her to join/share the table, the table next to her(before her table) got empty and I thought fuck wrong timing.. she also saw an empty table that I can take. I decided to leave the empty table and to join her for luch on the same table. Now it's clear to her as well that I am interested in joining her.

Objective 2 accomplished - I overcome my fear of getting judged and shyness and expressed boldly my desire to join her on the same table, even if the adjacent table is empty.

I sat on table for lunch and to start conversation I started bitching about weather.. easy opening to talk, later in the conversation I asked what she is doing here and about her work etc.. and she did the same.

It was a good and free communication we laughed some times while taking. She was going for an job interview, I wished her luck and then we left the canteen.

My objective was not to date the girl or take her number etc but my objective was to learn and practice that I should be free to talk easily with anyone anywhere specially the opposite gender. I feel accomplished that I am able to do so.
