Personally, I think the best way to deal with an iffy stiffy is to tell the chick that you're stressed about some stuff in your life or anxious about impressing her, and that you want to make sure she understands that it's neither her fault nor your choice.

Then get busy otherwise. There are plenty of ways to enjoy sexuality without putting a P in a V, or even an M.

First off work out, get good sleep, and eat well. That might remedy the problem outright, leaving you less anxious in general. Also let the girl know you're anxious. If she's cool, she'll help calm you down, and give you a relaxing blow-job or whatever may help.

If you're still having problems after that, see a doctor, it could be a symptom.

I had this problem when I was seeing a lot of girls for the first time. What helped me was to really get comfortable with them before having sex. That way you won't even be thinking about it. So relaxed that you're not even bothered about impressing her, and like magic the sex will take place. Just try not to treat it as a big deal and you'll be fine whatever happens.

I actually used to have this problem, and it definitely bungled my first few attempts at sex with girls. I positively freaked out because I was constantly worried about doing everything "right" and impressing the girl.

Then I got into a slightly longer term relationship with this really chill girl who made me realize that girls can get just as nervous initially, and that they can definitely be patient with this kind of thing. It took me a few weeks with her, but I eventually stopped having this as an issue at all.

Really, just be comfortable. You can tell her you've been stressed out about some school/work stuff beforehand to minimize the pressure on you to perform, and then just stop thinking about yourself, and focus on pleasing her using everything else you've got. Your guy'll rise to the challenge at some point. Just don't think about it.

Also, make sure that your condoms are the right size (girth-wise), and not too small so as to limit blood flow.
