Been lurking for a while. I've recently become single again, and I'm trying the whole "live for the moment" thing. Fuck long term relationships for now, I need some time to figure myself out and hopefully get laid along the way. So I will relay my interactions from the other day to you. I've always been good at making friends with people, and that is still part of the goal, but I'm a bit lost when it comes to escalating. So without further ado, a short bio and last day's attempt at daygame.

Me: 24, Marine, recently returned to a state University on the east coast to finish my degree. Regular gym goer, not a huge dude but I've got some good things going by way of broad shoulders and thick yokeage. I'm usually clean-shaven and have a good haircut, plus I dress decently.

Anyways, the daygame. I finished my homework and headed to the gym just to look around. They have a bouldering wall, so I start fucking around on that. I introduce myself to and befriend another dude there. Turns out he's in a major very closely related to mine. Networking, bitch!

Partway through this, a girl comes along and starts climbing. I watch her get to the same point as I did (secretly 'mirin, cuz back muscles on chicks are a weakness of mine) and fell off. She walks over and stands a couple yards from me. I turn to her, smile, and say "Hi! Who are you? she responds with her name, to which I say nice to meet you, 'name', I'm jean-luc! I promise I wasn't staring at you, but I wanted to see how you got past that tricky part. Any advice?" she said that the best way was a running start and attempted to demonstrate. She failed and we both laughed. We bullshat for about another minute and that was about it. I had my hands on my hips with a fairly wide stance because I was pretty gassed. Is there a better posture to assume? Anyways, at this point a male friend approached her. Talked to him, he invited me to a dancing thing with some of his friends. That's a different post, but it was fun. Any advice or areas I can improve?
