Here's the deal, unless you developed a strong connection with her at the club, your chances of something ongoing are slim.

Clubs aren't real life, it's like a game. There's music, alcohol, people act completely differently to how they normally act. She wakes up the next moring tired, hung over, confused. She's not playing that game anymore and any memory she has of you is a blur.

The only times I've texted club girls are when we've spent literally hours together that night. We danced, I took her elsewhere within the club, we left the club together, maybe we hooked up, maybe we explored the city, we had extended conversations outside of the loud club environment. I've always gotten responses from these girls.

But a girl I had a 5 minute conversation with over loud music and alcohol? Yeah, nah. Probably not going to work out.

I would text immediately with my name so they have it. Then Id wait maybe a day or two and ask her out. First something like “hey how’s your day going” just to gauge interest and then I’d be like “how’s your week looking? I’ve been wanting to try this (insert bar, cafe, restaurant). Wanna come with?”

What do you text a woman after you got her number at a club?

Generally speaking, the ideal situation would be to hook up that night with someone you're meeting at the club. It's not exactly the venue for finding a serious relationship.

But sometimes logistics just don't work in your favor and you have to set it aside for later. In that case, you ought to text that night. Keep it short and sweet.

Some part of your message should reference the time you spent hanging out with them or conversation you had.
It's usually good to include something that describes that you enjoyed hanging with them or meeting them, etc. And it should be legit because if you didn't enjoy hanging out with them, then you shouldn't be trying to contact them.

Also, when it comes to getting the number, it should be a number exchange if you want to stand out a little better. Basically you ought to be giving her your number and getting hers at the same time.

Assuming things are going well, you can often end up both huddled up close around your phone or hers as the number is being entered in. It's a good excuse for close proximity.

Point blank: if you're texting someone to make sure they didn't give you a fake number and/or you're not sure that they're sober enough to have given you the right contact information, then something has gone wrong.

You shouldn't be wasting your time with people who are too drunk to interact properly.
If someone has given a fake number, then they're not interested and catching them in the act of giving you a fake number won't address the core issue which is that things are already screwed up.

You address these not by treating everybody in a more paranoid way by verifying that the number is actually real or that they're sober enough.

You address these issues by:

Following the steps I outlined in #3 of this comment: doing a number exchange.
Screening people out if they're too drunk to interact properly. People like that are usually a waste of time and energy anyway.
