I've never really appreciated this sub until just recently.

I consider myself a pretty high SMV guy (6'0", decently looking, been lifting for 6-7 years) but I've never approached a girl in my life. I've been able to lay girls in the past through tinder or parties where girls basically approached me but recently I've gone through a very big dry spell. I had a wake up call the other day when I was studying in the library at university and got up to leave. When I got up and packed my bag this cute blonde girl who had been looking at me noticed and immediately got up too and started to hurriedly pack her things. She came and stood beside me and we both got in the elevator. It was just her & I. The whole ride down I couldn't bring myself to say a fucking word to her out of some sort of anxiety. It felt like I was fucking frozen. This is when it hit me: I couldn't talk to girls sober.

I felt so fucking ashamed when I stepped out of that elevator and she walked away and I didn't say anything. This is when I knew something had to change. Half an hour later I got in my car and drove to the closest mall; I was going to ask 10 strangers for the time/directions. My heart was fucking racing and it felt like my body was rejecting this idea. It sounds insane but I was honestly frightened to ask a random stranger for the time. I got in there though and asked some asian dude for the time. He was super nice, gave me the time, and I told him to have a nice day. It honestly felt like one of the biggest accomplishments of my life. I asked 9 more people for the time/directions and I felt more proud than I had in a long time.

I wanted more though so Monday when I'm at university (I live in a small town an hour away) I'm going to ask 10 attractive girls for the time/directions. This is basically my plan so far: ask 10 attractive girls for the time/directions, then next time do 10 hit & runs (compliment an attractive girl and then walk away), and then after that do my first actual cold approach (basically a hit & run style but just sticking with it e.g. "what are you up to today?").

I knew I would never be able to just jump right in the deep end so gradually exposing myself to strangers and attractive girls is the route necessary for me to start cold approaching.

Edit: If you guys have any additional exercises for approach anxiety than what I'm doing here that would be more than helpful.
