Well either way, you won't be seeing these people from high school ever again, so just ask anyone you want and don't worry about your reputation. I'm 24, and I can count on one hand the number of high school classmates I'm still in regular communication with.

Fun is had everywhere, if you know how to seek it out. But college is just easy mode because there are hot girls everywhere.
You probably have bigger issues than just prom, I'd say read a good book on the subject of dating (Models) and it'll improve your life a lot, just saying, not just in dating but in terms of personality.
