As the title suggests, I’ve got a question regarding consent and wondered how you guys have handled this in your own experiences.

I’m heavily involved in the dating scene at the moment, however my issue starts when I take a girl home or vice versa.

I must ask them about 10 times if their happy to continue; to set the record straight I know “NO means NO” and if their too drunk or “out of it” that also means NO!

My concern is, I put soo my pressure to ask them it takes away from the moment, an example is if we kiss (I ask if it’s ok), touch her breasts (ask if it’s ok) and it goes on and on as we progress.

Recently me and a girl I’ve been seeing escalated, things were getting really heated and she mutters/moans “no I can’t believe you are doing this to me”. I immediately stop and sit up, she looks at me bewildered. Once I’ve explained that I thought she wanted me to stop she laughed and said I was really over thinking it. However at that point the mood was killed for me and the “magic gone”.

How many times do you ask for consent? Should I turn my phone voice recorder on as I’ve considered it however believe it would be betraying the girls trust if I done this?

Just to help set the demographic - I’m 22y/o at university and lots of my sexual experiences are simply no strings attached sex.
