Field test it and report back. Just make sure you'e reading something other than "Mystery Method: How to get Beautiful Women into Bed". The girls might shy away from you when they see that.

It depends on the person. Some girls will be into bookworms, some won't. Just do what you love and the rest will fall into place. Don't read books in a public area just because you want to have a reason for girls to approach you. Approach them and it won't matter if you're reading or not.
