Responding to casual insults?

First of all, stop being concerned with "what's more alpha" -- that's decidedly the most un-alpha thing ever.

Second, relax. Go with the flow. You don't have to think of crazy, elaborate ways to demonstrate how much of a badass you are for perfectly dealing with snarky people. Just be cool. I usually respond by either owning it and laughing it off, or with an exaggerated "you wound me" type of expression, followed by laughing it off. After a while, they pretty much stop trying to get under your skin because they see their teasing doesn't matter.

Honestly when girls give me casual insults, which is rare, I just laugh it off and possibly amplify the insult on me. Most girls will rarely give casual insults, especially if you just met them. It's not like with your guy friends where everyone just cracks jokes relentlessly. Girls can be more emphatic about it so if I'm ever being casually insulted by a girl I don't make it as a big deal and just take it as an opportunity to tease and talk back

feign a little hurt, jokingly ,then laugh it off, if she's doing it she doing it to get a reaction, give her one briefly just to acnowledge you heard it, then move on to spell out you dont care.

It depends on what the insult is. If she is just teasing you, just tease her back. I had a girl call me "cheap" once cuz I wouldn't buy her a drink - I retort "yeah, I'm cheap. That's why I have money and you don't."

But... if a girl genuinely insults you, that's fucked up, and you shouldn't take it. The question of whether an insult is a joke or a genuine insult is a fact-specific one, so I can't really give any examples here, but if the girl says something seriously fucked up I would take the conversation to a serious place and be like "that's a really rude thing to say" and just walk away. Sometimes I won't even say anything - I'll just shoot them a dirty look and leave. You MUST be able to pull out the "you're being rude" card at any time, even if you're breaking the mood or the girl otherwise seems to be into you. You have to show you have boundaries and that you don't take shit. Some girls, especially super hot ones, are so used to shitting on guys that they casually say really fucked up shit like its normal. If you call them out on it, you stand out because literally nobody ever calls those girls out on their shit.

A lot of the advice in this thread is going to be "agree and amplify" or "laugh along" or whatnot. FUCK THAT. You wouldn't "agree and amplify" if a guy said something fucked up to you, so you shouldn't let a girl shit on you either. Girls aren't stupid - they know they are being assholes, and you if "agree and amplify" you just look like a silly, weak, supplicating, idiot.

And here's the thing: you can probably fuck a lot of women who insult you. They are insulting you because they are insecure and emotionally unstable. But if you DO fuck them, you are demeaning yourself as a man and a human being. I wouldn't do it.

Totally agree with the top voted comment.

Especially with the alpha remark, someone who is "alpha" doesn't try to be "alpha", they are confident to the core and don't really give a fuck about something like a girl's casual insults. They know they're awesome, and that's all that matters to them.

Or that's just how I see it. I could be wrong.

Personally, I respond to casual insults with the first thing that pops in my head, unless it's crude and vulgar, which in that case I catch it before my ignorance seeps out haha. But if a girl said something like "You play football?! you're so small." I'll just say "Bitch, please... Check out the guns!" While I flex my arm but in a totally fake-cocky way that's funny, or is respond with something more like "We all can't be as big and strong as you!" but with a smile, coming back at them and reversing their casual insult.

If you're questioning about what is more alpha 'A or B'. Then my simple advice is to follow your guts. Your gut feeling (aka intuition) will probably choose the route you're emotionally more comfortable with. And IMHO radiating comfort (or relaxness) is most alpha.

I personally love it when a woman insults me or shit tests me. At the end of the day, I know she's just joking around. So in turn, I will do the same. Also, after she gives an insult, I like to kind of jab her with one of my own. Now, HOW you say it is so important. Say it with the biggest smile on your face to convey that you aren't taking yourself seriously. I also like to give her a “Oh, it's on" look with a cheeky smile. This is what works for me. At the end of the day, just remember to not take it seriously because if a woman insults/shit tests you, she is most definitely attracted to you.
