Huh? If you're looking for an LTR, you probably need to fuck some broads first. I don't know shit about a girl the first time I meet her. I can get some knowledge of her interests/personality, but not a whole lot. F-closing chicks from bars is great because

You get to have sex
You can find out if you're sexually compatible (sexual incompatibility is a next-able offense, no matter what)
You find out more about her, because you're with her longer than you would be if all you do is talk for a few hours
If all you do is talk to some girls, they're not likely to develop feelings for you- that's chump shit you did back in high school, it's beta thinking and it's not attractive
Girls like to have sex just as much as guys do, which is also part of the reason why No Sex = Chump Shit
This is the overarching theme: When you meet a girl, you want to build attraction and comfort. If you're doing it "properly," it should be culminating in sex. If it doesn't end in sex, you're not doing it "properly," and may I wish you the best of luck in keeping her attracted.
(WASTED) TIME BEFORE SEX is one of the biggest killers of attraction. We're grownups now, we have sex with each other. Brad Pitt wouldn't waste more than a day on a girl if she's not down for sex (and he wouldn't have to because he's Brad fuckin Pitt- she'll be down).
I think everyone's looking for an LTR, technically (for most people, like me, I know when I find a great girl I'm gonna stay with her) but that can't happen if you don't meet the girl first. And you hurt your chances enormously if you meet a girl but then don't make her horny enough to want sex with you.
Nobody ever said "f-closing chicks from bars" doesn't lead to LTRs. In almost every situation I can think of, that's exactly how all of my friends and I have gotten into LTRs (after high school).
Experience will tell you that LTRs don't just "happen" all of a sudden. You have to get to know a girl first. If you're starting an LTR with the 10th girl you meet, because she's "cool" or something, I got 500 bucks right here that says it doesn't last too long (unless you "settle"- which is the number one problem most people have). If I meet 300 girls, I'm gonna have no idea which one of them is even good enough for an LTR unless I have sex with them and continue to see them.
In other words, don't be "looking" for an LTR- be looking to hook up because you're a man, and then decide if you want to take it further because you're a high value man who doesn't start a relationship with just any girl.

Once you find someone and start dating obviously the make her chase you approach is good, but it can only go so far.

If there's literally no women in your area (that's false unless you're in Hickville) then you already know the answer. Drive an hour and get some chicks. Otherwise you're fucked- unless you wanna go on a dating site to find girls, which I'd never recommend to anyone. Run day game (and night game), go to bookstores and cafes, and malls, and other stores. Take up some sort of hobbies involving other people, join clubs or some shit. Anywhere girls are is a place where you can be approaching and interacting and getting numbers/closing. If no places exist near you, which is physically impossible, then take the hit in gas money and drive an hour. But then if you're not legitimately closing, all you can do is make conversation and get numbers. And then what? You either have to drive to see them or they have to drive to see you. So your LTR is gonna be a long-distance relationship. That whole idea sounds shitty to me.

Take a night or weekend class in the city - something you like to do. Find clubs that meet on weekends that you can join. Try online dating.

1 hour is nothing. I was at a social activity in my city this week and one of the guys that came lives 2 hours away.

I got a job once in Podunk Center, it really was miles from anywhere, farmville. The big excitement of the night was midnight, when the local bars closed and over the border they were still open 4 more hours. So on a busy weekend midnight, you might see even 5 or 6 pickup trucks dashing across the bridge to continue partying at the old roadhouse across the border.

I used to live in the big city 175 miles away, so I'd drive down just about any weekend and stay with friends, just to get the hell out of there. So it's not ridiculous to commute an hour regularly on the weekend. Hey come to think of it, I met my first LTGF back then, while I was living 175 miles away and having a semi-long distance relationship. I guess that was one of the reasons I moved back, away from Podunk Center*.

*No, there is no actual place named Podunk Center.
