Yes this is a super-common experience, we got into the habit of being excited when girls would tell us we weren't going to have sex becasue we knew we WERE going to have sex.

I find there are 2 main reasons women say this.

1) They are actually saying it to themselves - They feel themselves getting weak, and are trying to remind themselves not to have sex with this guy they barely know.

2) They want to hold onto the option of not having sex with you - A lot of women have the experience of suddenly being turned off by a guy - his apartment is disugsting and shows no hygene, he's a horrible kisser etc. And they feel bad pulling out when he was expecting sex - So they tell him sex won't happen so if they do change their minds, he thinks she's just staying true to her word.

It's a bit like how I ALWAYS tell women I don't want a relationship - even though I know that if the ideal woman came along I'd definitely consider it. It's EASY to shift form casual sex to a relationship, but very hard to shift it back the other way ;).

The only reasons I think of when I am in those situations is what UrbanDevice is saying, and that women protect themselves from being slutty.

The previous time I had sex, she said that she does not get laid with people she dont know. Well, it took her only an hour after that to know me better.

I was only slowing it down, and trying some times here and there. Pushing and pulling. When she stopped me, i stopped, laid back and waited a bit. When I started again, I did a little bit more than the last time. After we had watched the movie we were watching, I started kissing and licking her neck until I heard her moan, and she could not resist that anymore.

It could be a shit test. She probably wanted to see how you reacted. If you became upset and frustrated, then she probably wouldn’t have had sex with you. But you reacted in the best way by showing that you don’t give a fuck
