Personally I would never go out with the goal of specifically having a one night stand because you become too concerned with pushing too hard, but in your situation i can understand why you would do so.

Kino is key here. You need to escalate more rapidly than usual without being too over the top. You need to be able to find the just the right amount of kino (it may not be the same for each girl). She will most likely realize that your intentions are mostly sexual, and as long as you have built a solid rapport with her you will be good to go.

There will always be that girl who has the preconcieved notion that she will never have a one night hook-up and you will eventually hit a wall with her. You can always try to get her so caught up with you that she gives in to her desires and breaks her rule, but i personally believe its easier for a beginner to move on to another girl if your sole intention is to have a one night stand.

Explain you are in town for "a couple days. Lowers her inhibitions and she can explain it away as "it just happened" and wont "look like a slut" to her friends. Massive kino right away, keep it friendly keep it chill, just proceed forward. Mostly dont act like you want her # or want to date her. Act like you want to fuck her but dont be a douche about it.

There is no magic pill to "get the job done" if you're dealing with girls who only want a relationship.

The problem is that your screening process needs work: you're spending time with women, perhaps just because they're responding to you, but you're not properly qualifying them first as women that would be up for a fling.

and when they find out I'm leaving in a day or two their interest dies.

This needs to be one of the FIRST things you bring up. Not something that comes up later. Then they'll either screen themselves out early or, if possible, they'll shift their mindset to take short term into consideration.

If you wait until later to bring this shit up, you're only screwing yourself.

Overall, it doesn't matter where you are or what the culture is, there's a chance to meet someone..... whether it be a traveller or a local, who is up for a fling. Obviously, it will help if you've got your Outcome Independence in order. Aside from that, it's numbers game. With practice, you can get more efficient at screening out the people who don't want what you want.

If you're travelling to cities for only a few days I would be aggressive as fuck and see how far you can get sexually with women. Use the law of averages to your advantage and approach as much women as you can and make your one night stand intentions clear.

All the advice is pretty universal. The key here will be finding girls who want what you have to offer. Meet more of them, and, if possible, bring more to the table yourself.

"More to the table" could be your interests, your confidence, your wit, your experiences.

You're the product. She's the buyer. Make sure you're making your best pitch.

Also, the trouble here could be partly cultural - cultures in many countries outside the Western liberal sphere may frown on ONS situations. If you're working a lot in Asia or Eastern Europe, I've heard this is the case.
