After we connected on a dating app, I (F23) messaged with a guy (M25) 1x a day for around a week. He proposed a Wednesday date to me two Mondays ago. We swapped numbers, and I texted him saying I'd be interested in going, but could not go for a week and a half as I was out of town until that time. He replied stating he had travel plans the upcoming week and would be returning a few days after I would be. He said he would be interested in going out when we were both back, to which I said I’d like to. We exchanged one or two more messages about his upcoming travel plans, and the conversation ended with him leaving my last message on read (it wasn’t really something one could easily reply to). We haven’t talked in two weeks, but he is returning this week.

Should I message him first, or wait for him to message me? We did not set a concrete date, but I’d like to go and would feel bad if he was expecting me to message first.
