It can be effective to just give the girl a date, time, and place and say let's go, but if she already had plans then you can end up searching for a time when she is free and possibly seeming needy. Her being busy is especially likely if you want to go on a morning date (which I usually prefer, at least early in the relationship).

And so my usual strategy is to say "What's your schedule like this week?" Which I learned from Seddit and can be effective. If you had clear intentions during your interaction(s), then she will know your intention in asking her schedule and give you times when she if free.
