when asked in social media posts, Majority of ladies from my country say they look at shoes when being approached by a guy for the first time.

Well, its simply not true. They look at his face first. Don't believe me? Approach a girl and see where she looks first. That's right. Your face.

Now as for clothing, women do care about shoes a lot. But that is unlikely to be the main determining factor wether you get a date.

Women rarely reject a guy because of his shoes, unless his shoes were absolutely horrible, disgusting, dirty etc. They usually reject him or go out with him for other reasons.

This does not mean women don't care about shoes. They do. Absolutely💯%. When it comes to an outfit, shoes matter a lot to women. It's just that unless your outfit is either horrible, or absolutely amazing, women won't give you a date or reject you because of it. It's not that important overall.

Should you get good shoes? Of course! It will increase your chances by a few percent. But it's not going to be a magic pill that makes women swoon.

Why do women care about shoes? No idea. They just do, and that's all you need to know 👍

Funny side note, I as a guy often look at other guys, I interact with, shoes. It tells a lot about the person. I wear certain brands that are very comfortable and know others are just for show or generally most cheap shoes are horribly uncomfortable.

In other words, footwear is the most important item of clothing. So you can see, does the person care about his body, does he like to show off or is he a cheapskate.

It probably makes a marginal difference. You might do up to 5% better if you are wearing stylish shoes compared to subpar shoes.

(totally speculating) Normally, footwear is the last priority when it comes to clothing. And therefore, the least amount of money is spent on shoes. Wearing expensive shoes may be an indirect measure of your status.

I bet those social media posts were paid for by a sneaker company lol. Just wear decent looking shoes that go with your outfit. And you'll be fine.
