Long story short, I have a friend who is very forward. If he meets a girl he’s interested in, right off the bat he lets it be known that he likes her. Usually by complimenting her in a way only someone who is interested would compliment a girl but he’s also lowkey kind of mean to them sometimes.

I on the other hand am kind of the opposite, I typically establish a casual friendship first then pursue them. It’s worked for me before but it’s seemingly nowhere near as effective as my friend’s tactic.

What’s the best tactic for someone that wants to casually date in their early 20’s? Should I be doing it the more respectful, selective way or just show interest in as many girls as possible? And if you get turned down or she’s not receptive you move on to the next? We live in LA btw, Which is notoriously hard for dating.
