I spoke briefly about this with someone in another thread, but thought i'd ask it here.

''The best way to pick up women is to not be so interested''
My questions is, How does that work in practice, though?
I mean, we are supposed to use kino and hold very strong eye contacts, aren't we, so isn't that 'showing interest'?
Even cold approaching a girl (especially if you open directly) is showing lots of interest, too, no?
I'm finding it hard to find the right balance in terms of interest, I think. Sometimes, i'll use lots of kino, and i'll hold razor sharp eye contact with flirty smiles to show my interest, and feel I might be coming on too strong like she's i'm trying to 'pick her up' - She KNOWS that i'm into her from those signals alone. SHOULD she know, though?
Other times, i'll try to NOT show interest and be a bit more aloof and not ask her too many questions (be less curiuos about her), and maybe lower my energy a little etc, but then sometimes it feels like she just gets bored (or maybe thinks i'm not into her and am just after a drinking buddy?) and disappears.
Can't seem to win.
I'm not sure how to resolve the apparent contradiction between
''Make your intentions clear, flirt, physically escelate''
AND
''Don't chase her. Make her chase you! don't show her interest etc''
I wonder if it's more about having some sort of plan in terms of showing interest and making your intentions known at the start and then slowly showing less and less to 'make her chase'? Or maybe the other way around? I'm not sure....
I've just bought MaxRSD's the natural, and hope that watching lots of FULL infields will maybe give me a better idea on this
PS - If it matters at all, i'm basically talking about approaching girls in bars at nights
