“Look, it’s illegal to work here with eyebrow game like that.”

“I’m going to have to speak with your manager.”

“Since I’m the only one here, I guess that makes me the manager.”

“Then your parents.”

  • replies with something mildly banal *

“Look, I’m just here picking up some things and you’re throwing me an attitude.” (said playfully)

“No.... well, maybe a little attitude.”

“Go figure with tattoos like that. But go figure. Everyone in - - - has tattoos. I’m a bit behind the trend at the moment since I moved here.”

The takeaway here is that I decided to strike up conversation here without it leading anywhere. Outcome independence. Although having a goal in mind isn’t a bad thing either.

She was opened with an observational tease. Followed up with some friendly banter. The narrative here is one where I’m giving her a hard time. Putting her on the back foot or defense. She even qualified herself a little about her attitude. Feeding into the conversation. Albeit, she’s having to interact with customers as the cashier.

Another girl at the supermarket had a bottle with anime stickers all over it. Made a comment on how much of a nerd she was and responded positively.

These girls are 5s and 6s. Reps are reps. Still human beings and remembering that is important. Talk to everyone and action your way into becoming more social instead of thinking your way into a new way of living.
