Minimize flirting via text. There was a great article about good text game on here the other day. Basically you shouldn't be trying to gain any rapport/ground with her (because you won't via text alone) and instead just gauging her interest by sending her a random text and seeing how she responds/how quickly she responds, and then asking her out as quickly as possible.

Any chance you misread her interest levels while texting?

You mentioned in the comments you canceled on her and for some reason didn't want to make a date over the weekend... is there some non-arbitrary reason you're doing this? the more time you waste, the smaller your window of opportunity gets. honestly if it doesn't work out with her, i would say that that was one of the reasons.
the ball is in her court. your texts are already indicating a little too much interest, so i'd say back off and work on some other gals in the meantime. if she comes to you, great. but if not, maybe try to set something up for this weekend if you have no other options. but MOVE QUICKLY. You're running out of time.

I think you handled it fine. The "you'll have to make it up to me" is a line advocated here a lot, but it really depends on the girl and how far along you are with her as to whether it will work. Sometimes it is pure gold, sometimes it just pisses off the girl.

In this case it sounds like her sister is actually sleeping over. You handled it fine. Try again in a few days if she doesn't text you first (she probably will).

BTW you didn't say what types of texts you were sending over the weekend, but "text flirting" to me is kinda useless. It doesn't really help to build attraction. I leave small talk for when I actually see the girl, text is purely for setting up dates, or maybe just keeping her "warm" if I won't see her for more than 4-5 days.
