if you're in the US, the advantage of medium sized cites is that other medium sized cities are a drivable distance away. I would only approach when you're already out about in your city but to be specific I would keep it to less than 150 a year for daytime approaches. 200+ if you don't care about your rep

I would drive / bus / bike to other cities and widen the range on dating apps . So up to 100 miles.

I would also go to events and rotate to different scenes So maybe a goth night one night , a hip hop night the other ,a rich fancy club another weekend, an art show etc...

1) Use indirect game NO QUESTION. My friend is in a city with like 500k but with a main downtown area and started running into the same girls using direct game.

research mystery method , it does not have to be canned, but the principles of befriending everyone entertaining groups etc. - this type of game can actually improve as you know more people/see them again versus direct which can burn you out.

2) Approach but do a lot of home prep work. People stopped this but it totally works. Practice telling stories at home, doing improve exercises etc. So you are a bit sharper for your actual approaches and can add new stuff consistently

3) Also yeah, work in going to other nearby cities particularly if you are trying something very different. Say you want to practice kissing, maybe you go to a neighboring city and try kissing ten girls ( I am not saying grab her face, like you try a kiss gambit/routine that leads into a kiss) totally fine/not forceful but still could be awkward if you start running into 3 girls in the same club you tried and failed to kiss the week before

The city where I live in Romania has almost 100k inhabitants and ... is good as it is. But if you think is small, then today you can go to one part of the city, tomorrow to another part of the city and so on...
