As a rAFC, I count the hell out of my small victories. Today, I took a step past AA anxiety by talking to a cute girl on the bus (HB7). After we made eye contact, I told her that "this is going to bother me all day." She asked what I meant and I asked her if she thought her shirt was pink or salmon (pro tip: salmon is a shade of pink). We talked about it, and I started asking the dudes around her. By the time she got off, we were all laughing about it. This is gonna be in my mind the next time I'm the feeling the AA.
Later that day, I ran into someone I knew from church. We started talking and she walked past her dorm to keep talking to me. This person ignored me two years. Have I changed that much in a couple months since I started reading? In a couple days, I'm gonna text her about a party this weekend.
Also, thrice in the past week, I've met a girl and got her number that day. One I deleted because I'm not really interested. One I set up a date, but had to cancel to sing a concert. We have a raincheck. The other lives an hour away. I'll get her next time I'm around.
I'm already improving. I'm more social, and people are noticing. I meet the people I want to meet. It's awesome. Thanks for helping me this far, guys :) I just started posting, but I've been lurking for a while and the differences are showing up.
