Let me throw an example your way. I've been hitting on this one girl that I see in my building, but I haven't really made a move. One day out of the blue, I decide that we should go to my fraternity's formal together, and I'm moderately sure she's down for it. However, there was a "beta orbiter" almost literally on her, physically. She was definitely not reciprocating anything from him, but she allowed it to still happen.

I feel like, if I had asked her then, I'd have a much worse chance of her accepting it in front of this other dude. Plus, I like the dude, so I didn't want to make an enemies right then. Instead, I made some banter and went to talk to other people. She walked by 20 minutes later, and I approached her and got an enthusiastic yes. So, it all worked out.

But I don't always get those second chances. That was part of my social circle, but most of the girls I meet are strangers that I'll only see once or twice. How do I work around these guys or get rid of them altogether? Any thoughts?

On a side note: I wouldn't have been able to build enough attraction or ask her in the right way. I'm already getting results with this stuff. Thanks for that, dudes.
