case in point: me.

i ALWAYS fuck up my relationships because at a certain point (around the three months mark) i became very attached and emotional dependent from the woman. to the point that my mood is dictated by our interactions and that i if i sense the smallest disconnection i have to repair it somehow. to the point that i get anxiety over text messages by phone if the girl doesn't respond in short time.

this is in great contrast on what i present at the beginning and comes out only after a few months. usually from here it's downhill and the relationship falls apart.

how can i manage those strong emotions, feeling of anxiety and abandonment? i cannot keep my cool when all those things are happening and i become very needy. i need a plan to fix this problem because i fucked up too many relationships.

i don't understand, i had cancer, went trough it like a tiger, more than once, i battled enormous problem like a parent passing away and being supportive for the whole family, i have no fear, no problems with cold approach, no anxiety in job interviews, i have no issues with my body image and i'm convinced that i can have every woman that i want..yet disconnection with my partner literally destroys me. i had a hard life and it's like the woman (that in my mind can ease all the pain that i've been trough) is the source of calmness and if she goes away i'm fucked.

any advice other than therapy, that i have already started?

thanks guys

edit: please don't tell me to spin more plates at once, if i'm in a relationship it's toxic behavior and i don't want that. and experience tells me that jealousy games are always a bad thing. if i'm single i'll do whatever i want, but when i'm in a relationship i don't want to spin more plates. besides, it would be like an excuse to cure an addiction, like any other distraction. i need to confront this fear and win, i don't need to focus my attention elsewhere to not feel emotions.
