Hey everyone, I’ve been working on improving my social and dating skills for the past few months. I started with cold approaches and eventually got comfortable meeting and attracting women in bar and nightlife settings. Recently, though, I’ve realized that I do much better in daytime interactions and social-circle environments.

My biggest question is: what does escalation actually look like in a social circle?

In nightlife settings, the context is usually more obvious and romantic, so it’s easier to know when to move things forward. In a social circle, things feel different. I don’t want to develop a reputation for hitting on every woman in the group, and I want to be respectful of the social dynamics.

When I’m talking to a woman in a social circle that I’m interested in, what should my goal be? How do I show romantic interest and move things forward without making things awkward or creating unnecessary drama within the group?

I’d love to hear how people approach escalation and dating in social-circle situations.
