Don't go there seeking validation from anyone. Go there to have fun. Engage people in conversation, dance, laugh, listen. Be present in the moment. If you go there looking to hook up or looking to score you will stand out. Interact with both guys and girls and everyone in between. Don't single people out because they are attractive or you want to get to know them more. Be fun basically.

One of the best pieces of advice I ever got: As soon as I walk into a venue, maybe even outside of it, I introduce myself to everyone. Short and sweet conversations.

Some people will be really engaging and you'll stick around with them. Others, will want you to leave immediately. But pretty soon, as you're walking around, you'll see familiar faces. And if you introduce these familiar faces to each other, magic will start to happen. You might say:
"Oh, she goes to raves, too, this is Jessica"
"hey james, meet michael, you guys both do kickboxing,"
"Nate is a software engineer, too. I bet he's better than you,"

Now, you are somehow the guy who knows everyone. In about an hour or two.

-be genuinely interested in the other person
-talk about other people's interests -smile
-remember people's names. It is their most holy possession
-honestly and sincerely make the other person feel important

Don’t go there looking for validation or you will seem too needy and the group/party might dislike it and Ignore you. I done this before when going at a bar by myself: Relax, be yourself, enjoy yourself but remain somewhat mysterious. Say less, observe and analyze the group’s dynamic. Once you feel confident built report and try to make friends with both male and females, as it makes you seem more attractive and approachable. A simple way to get people to open up to you is give a unique compliment to someone but never overdue it. Find someone who seems fun or interesting, and have them introduce you. However, iremember that not every one will always like you or open up to you but it is always ok to leave and find another party/group.

Bonus pro tip: People rather hear you talk about them or talk about themselves, finally most people respond better when they hear you say their name

Don’t be a wallflower, dont just stand in a corner. Just have fun, talk to people. Everyone is there to have a good time.
