Hope all is well… So, a lot of people hate gaming solo and it seems that the main reason for it is that it is ‘awkward’ when your just lingering around or when you get barred/rejected and you have nobody to walk up to and have a laugh with before getting back into it.

I definitely get this, but there are ways around this and once mastered is just another way to remove the excuse of not going out because your friends aren’t.

So I was heading out into Melbourne CBD last weekend to meet up with some friends for drinks. We arranged to all arrive at the venue at around 10pm, but like usual… Plans did not go the way they were suppose to and I received a message saying “we are going to be another hour man, sorry!”

I don’t ever go out solo, generally because I always have someone down to head out with me… But I actually loved the fact that my friends were going to be late just so I could test myself and push some shit I rarely do.

So I walk into the club and immediately feel a little scared and lonely… Lonely? Fuck that! I tell myself to shut the fuck up and approach a set, Boom! Blown off – ouch! Haha. I take a quick break and go get myself a drink from the bar. Once I got myself a drink I walk up to these two girls standing by a table and just starting chatting… Told them that I was waiting for some extremely unreliable friends to arrive and was in need of some friends to keep me company. I kept the conversation going and within a few minutes these girls were quite comfortable with me hanging out with them.

After about 10 minutes of chatting I decided that it was time to venture off and approach some chicks. So I start approaching, had a few awesome conversations and met some really awesome and fucking hot chicks.

After about 20 minutes, I had three groups to hang out with whenever I got blown off… Even started some fun games with most of them getting them to point out any girl they wanted to me to go up and try picking up and I would point out some hot dudes for them to tease, fun shit. These girls loved it! Haha.

This night really opened up my eyes and showed me that there should be NO fucking excuses not to go out… It is great to go out with friends and have a good laugh, pick up, have a couple of drinks blah blah. But if you guys really want to sharpen your skills, you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do! And that is FUCKING GO OUT!

This was a great lesson which I have learnt and I hope that all of you guys read this and take the advice that I am giving.
